Life is good...
Because at 3:30 pm in this glorious day full of soothing sunshine with a tickling cool afternoon breeze, I officially ended my work day. Home Sweet Home indeed. I got to play with my dogs, eat slices of good mango float, read a few chapters and blog.
But thank God today was not that bad as I've expected. Though there were a couple of assignments and requests, it was not toxic, absolutely nothing I couldn't handle. It was a fairly good day and I am thankful. I was even able to enjoy my lunch of cheap fast food. If days like this continue to be the norm, this year wouldn't be much of a problem.
I am a morning person, but one of my favorite hours is during the late afternoons just before sunset. It's the hours of 4-5 pm. For me, it's the best time of day that shows the golden beauty of the sun without being too intrusive. The dying sunlight soothes and calms my nerves. It's like getting a visual and psychological massage all in one. This moment pushes me back to reminisce on happy moments.
Another reason to be quite thankful for.
