Book Documentation Vow

I’m proud of my reading spree this 2013. I read a lot of good books, started some series and have strengthened my library to last me years of blissful page turning. Sure I exceeded my shopping budget from time to time when it comes to books and I frequent our neighboring Book Sale once a week, but books are my life! There’s sublime happiness when I spend on these. But I do recognize that I badly need to save and be wiser with my purchases. Also, one of my goals in 2014 is to at least maximize and embrace E-Books, which from the previous post I’ve mentioned, ebooks actually help me save and be wiser with my book purchases.

Though also I’ve regained my voraciousness (very relative) in reading compared to a couple years back, I have attempted to at least document each book that I read through my own personal and humble reviews. The primary reason for doing this is to remind myself of the experience and as much as I’d like to share book information with people, the primary goal for documentation is to lock in the memory.  It’s quite frustrating sometimes for book readers that certain details elude us after months or years. With so many books that I tend to read, it’s quite imminent that I would not remember details or even plots. I can vaguely remember if I had a positive or negative experience reading the book. By documenting it through blog posts and reviews, at least it would be easier for me to relive the moments and to keep track of books that I really like.

Though I’ve started to do that this year, I had promised myself as a sort of resolution to religiously savor documenting every single book as soon as I finish reading them. I need to enhance that discipline to grab my laptop and just write. This goes for interesting articles that I might come across. This day and age is the perfect and more convenient time to unclog my thoughts free of cost and choice.
